Crowded House brings its gorgeous melodies to Vancouver

I just heard that Crowded House is coming to Vancouver.

That got me thinking about how much I've always loved the band's 1986 hit, "Don't Dream It's Over".

I mean, that's gotta be one of the most beautiful pop tunes ever recorded, right?

If you agree, you might want to score tickets to the band's October 3 show at the Orpheum Theatre, where it will also be showcasing tunes from its latest album, Dreamers Are Waiting, which was released last year.

The current lineup includes two founding members--singer-guitarist and main songwriter Neil Finn and bassist Nick Seymour--along with the band's original producer, Mitchell Froom, and Finn's sons Liam and Elroy.

The group's 21-date North American tour begins in Philadelphia on September 2 and ends with the Vancouver show.

      You can find tickets here.
