If you're a music lover who's been waiting patiently to hear some live jazz in Vancouver, you won't have to wait much longer.

Today the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival announced that, in line with the easing of public health restrictions in B.C., two of its indoor venues will allow limited in-person audiences from June 25 to July 4.

At Performance Works audiences of 40 will be permitted at the free 2:30 pm shows and the 8 pm ticketed events, and at the Ironworks audiences of 25 will be permitted at the free 4:30 pm shows and the 9 pm ticketed events.

Jill Barber's ticketed July 4 jazzfest show at Performance Works will allow a live audience of 40.

Patrons must register for in-person tickets in advance in order to comply with contact tracing and safety protocols.

Tickets will be available on pre-sale to Coastal Jazz & Blues Society supporters on June 17 at 10 am, and to the general public on June 19 at 10 am.

Please note: jazz festival events at the Western Front, Tom Lee Music, and Pyatt Hall, as well as the International Streaming Series, will remain virtual.
