Record Store Day is coming up this Saturday (June 12), and there's sure to be some interesting finds at the local record stores.

But if you're the ultimate George Harrison fan with a thousand bucks (U.S.) to blow, you may want to just hang on until August 6.

That's when Universal Music will release a 50th anniversary "uber deluxe edition" box set of Harrison's 1970 album, All Things Must Pass, that will include--apart from a new mix of the original album and 42 previously unreleased demos and outtakes--two books, a wooden bookmark made from a felled Oak tree in Harrison’s Friar Park, figurines of Harrison and the gnomes featured on the album cover, a limited-edition illustration by musician Klaus Voormann, a copy of Paramahansa Yogananda’s Light from the Great Ones, and Rudraksha beads, contained in individual custom-made boxes.

It all comes packaged in an artisan-designed wooden crate, and who knows--there might even be room to keep your weed in there.

For those of us who don't have an extra grand lying around for gnomes and such, the various formats of All Things Must Pass include a more affordable (roughly $200 U.S.) "super deluxe" vinyl edition that includes 70 tracks across 8 LPs (including all the previously unreleased demos, outtakes, and studio jams), a 60-page scrapbook curated by Olivia Harrison, and a replica of the original album poster.
