Lil Yachty plays Vancouver on October 21 as part of his 39-date the Field Trip Tour.

The 25-year-old known to Atlanta Motor Vehicle Branch staff as Miles Parks McCollum will be on the road for this year’s Let’s Start Here, a record he’s called a “non-rap album”. Or, more descriptively and fancifully, a “psychedelic alternative project” featuring live instrumentation.

Since its release, Let’s Start Here has been praised for fusing elements of experimental rock, forward-thinking jazz, and beat-heavy psych. That would suggest that Lil Yachty has learned a thing or three while collaborating in the past with the likes of Tame Impala, and professing his undying love for Coldplay.

While hitting the top 10 on Billboard, Let’s Start Here has more importantly generated nearly 42 million streams on the various services that continue to divide the music industry into the haves and the have-nots.

Tickets for the Field Trip Tour go on sale at 10am on May 12. Those who prefer to get the jump on things with artist presales can break out the credit card at 10am this morning. For full information on when and where to buy tickets, go here.
