Lizzo lights up the Internet with see-through dress at Cardi B's birthday celebration
In a recent TED Talk, Lizzo revealed that Rihanna once gave her ass a standing ovation
Melissa Viviane Jefferson, a.k.a. Lizzo, is generating a great chatter over Twitter today.
Why is this?
It's because a few trolls have been trying to body-shame her after she wore a see-through dress to Cardi B's birthday party.

The charismatic Lizzo will never be fazed by that, of course.
In fact, she posted a tweet of her twerking in the dress.

In a TED Talk in September (see below), Lizzo explained why twerking taught her how to love her body—and how the dance's origins go back to West Africa.
"Black women carried these dances across the trans-Atlantic slave trade to the ring shout and what became the Black American church, into the hips of Ma Rainey and Bessie Smith when they sang the blues, into the bounce of Josephine Baker's banana dance, " Lizzo said.
At another point in her talk, Lizzo declared: "Rihanna gave my ass a standing ovation."
