I've interviewed legendary drummer Mick Fleetwood a couple of times over the years, and both times he came across as one cool cat.
But the 73-year-old's coolness factor has definitely moved up a few notches recently thanks to a posting on TikTok.
It all started last month when a guy named Nathan Apodaca--known on social media as 420doggface208--posted a TikTok clip of himself riding a skateboard, drinking Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry juice, and grooving to the sound of Fleetwood Mac's 1977 soft-rock hit "Dreams".
The posting went viral, with over four-million likes, mainly because of the part where the rough-looking dude looks into the camera and joyfully lip-syncs the line in which Stevie Nicks hits that famous high note: "It's only right that you should play the way you feel it."
Who saw that comin'?
Probably the same amount of people who expected Mick Fleetwood to reply yesterday with a TikTok entry of his own:
All this skateboarding and juice-slurping and TikTok-ing is great, but who else would trade it all in a second to see Fleetwood Mac in concert again--like that time back in 2015.
