Previously unreleased 8mm footage of John Lennon and Yoko Ono Lennon captured at home in 1968 has been included in a new video for the John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band song "Look At Me".

The video, released today via the John Lennon Estate, features black-and-white and color footage shot between takes of John and Yoko’s films “Smile” and “Two Virgins”.

The new footage offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse at John and Yoko hanging out at their house, John strumming an acoustic guitar most of the time, hamming it up for the camera, and gazing adoringly at Yoko, who is seen dancing around the swimming pool.

If only John were still here to write a beautiful tune to lift us all up and help us deal with the pandemic. Imagine.

“Look At Me” is the second track to be released from the forthcoming boxed set John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band: The Ultimate Collection, due out April 23. You can pre-order it here.
