Primus pays homage to prog legends Rush with A Tribute to Kings at the Orpheum Theatre on June 12

If you haven't already blown your entire 2022 entertainment-fund allotment on the new Rush pinball table, here's another way to pay homage to the Canadian prog-metal gods.

Primus, a pretty decent prog-metal trio in its own right, will be performing A Tribute to Kings at the Orpheum Theatre on June 12.

That's when bassist-vocalist Les Claypool, guitarist Larry "Ler" LaLonde, and drummer Tim "Herb" Alexander will be playing Rush's 1977 album, A Farewell to Kings--you know, the one with "Closer to the Heart"--in its entirety.

They'll throw in a few of their own tunes as well, to satisfy any non-Rush-loving bozos who may stumble in by mistake.

Added bonus: the opening act is Vancouver's own Black Mountain.

Tickets for the show, presented by MRG Live, are on sale now and you can find them here.
