Victoria’s long-running Rifflandia Festival makes its return this summer, and the lineup features some truly heavy hitters.

Headliners at the four-day festival (September 15-18) include chart-toppers Lorde and Charli XCX, cheeba-dazed hip-hop legends Cypress Hill, electrop hitmaker Lauv, turbo-soul duo Black Pumas, and riot grrrl icons Bikini Kill and Pussy Riot.

As if that’s not reason enough to be excited about Rifflandia, which returns to Victoria after a four-year absence, the lineup also includes vets Ben Harper and Cat Power, DJ Diesel (aka Shaquille O’Neal), Vancouver breakout rapper BBNO$, the Funk Hunters, and Art d’Ecco. Watch for 50 more acts to be announced in the coming weeks.

Shows will take place at venues including The Park in Royal Athletic Park and Electric Avenue in the Arts and Innovation District.

Tickets go on sale this Friday (May 6) at 10 a.m. at rifflandia.com.

“It feels amazing to be bringing this event back to the city we love,” Rifflandia Festival president and CEO Nick Blasko said in a release. “Our lineup is exceptional this year, and we are working hard to create an elevated festival experience that celebrates our past while launching us into the future.”

Ticket options for this year’s festival include Rifflandia VIP Passes, Super Passes, 3-Day Park Passes, and 3-Night Electric Avenue Passes. For all options and event information go to rifflandia.com. And for updates follow Rifflandia on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
