The organizers of the Rockin' River Music Fest have just announced that it has been cancelled for the second year due to COVID-19.

The four-day event was scheduled to take place in Merritt, B.C., from July 29 to August 1, 2021.

The festival was cancelled in 2020 as well, when scheduled performers included such country superstars as Keith Urban and Travis Tritt.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel for country fans, though.

"We are happy to say we will be back in 2022 on the usual BC Day long weekend, July 28-31, 2022," reads a press release, "and look forward to bringing the party back to the river."
