Hardcore fans of the Rolling Stones--like horror author Stephen King, who recently claimed that they were better than the Beatles--got some good news today.

This morning Kayos Productions announced that Mercury Studios will release a remixed, re-edited, and remastered version of A Bigger Bang: Live On Copacabana Beach, which captured the band's February 8, 2006 show in front of 1.5-million fans in Rio de Janeiro.

The package will be available in various formats, including three-LP pressed on blue, yellow, and green vinyl. A deluxe two-DVD, two-CD edition comes packaged in a 12 X 12 40-page book, along with a bonus DVD including a November 2005 concert in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Four songs that weren't included in the original 2007 DVD release, The Biggest Bang, are featured for the first time: “Tumbling Dice”, “Oh No, Not You Again”, “This Place Is Empty”, and “Sympathy For The Devil”.

“Not that we're unused to playing some of the biggest shows in the world," says Keith Richards in the press release, "but I must say Rio did take the cake."

“‘It was amazing,” adds Mick Jagger. “It was a really good audience. They know how to enjoy themselves on those occasions.”

A Bigger Bang: Live On Copacabana Beach is priced at $29.98 (U.S.) for the DVD/two-CD, $32.98 for the Blu-ray/two-CD, $64.98 for the three-LP coloured vinyl, and $99.98 for the two-DVD/two-CD deluxe edition. You can preorder here.
