Vancouver icon Sarah McLachlan has just announced she will open the Fumbling Towards Ecstasy 30th Anniversary Tour in her hometown.

Happening May 23 at Pacific Coliseum, the opening show kicks off a 31-stop North American tour that will hit cities such as Seattle, Palm Springs, Salt Lake City, Toronto, and Nashville.

The romp will celebrate McLachlan’s 30-year-old platinum album, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, over six weeks. Tickets are available Friday (March 1) at 10 AM local time at, with the artist pre-sale tomorrow (February 27).

“I think it’s interesting as an artist or as a human, for that matter, to be able to go back and look at a postcard of a time in your life and reflect on it,” says the Grammy and Juno-award winning artist in a release. “I think this tour is going to be a real walk down memory lane for me, and I’m hoping that my audience, many of whom have been with me for 30 years, will also be able to go back in time with me.”

Showgoers will be treated to a live performance of the album in its entirety—including its memorable singles "Possession”, "Hold On", “Ice Cream”, and "Good Enough”—along with other hits from McLachlan’s illustrious three-decade-plus career.

And if it didn’t already feel good that you may be able to attend the kick-off show, Live Nation has announced that proceeds from the Vancouver stop will benefit the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, a non-profit that provides music lessons to children and youth at no cost.
