The Coastal Jazz & Blues Society has announced a massive lineup of streamed performances for the 35th edition of its TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival.

After cancelling the festival last year due to COVID-19, the CJBS has put together an impressive array of online shows by musicians from across B.C. and around the world.

This year the performances will be streamed from the festival's four main venues: Ironworks, Performance Works, Pyatt Hall, and Frankie's Jazz Club.

The Sun Ra Orkestra closes out the International Streaming Series on July 4.

The International Streaming Series kicks off at Ironworks on June 25 with a performance from Chicago by percussionists Hamid Drake and Michael Zerang, while the Innovation Series at Ironworks opens on the 25th with a performance by a quartet led by violinist Josh Zubot. Other highlights of the Innovation Series include pianist Paul Plimley (June 28) and guitarist Tony Wilson (June 29), while the International Streaming Series concludes on July 4 with a show from Philadelphia by the Sun Ra Orkestra.

Khari Wendell McClelland streams a show as part of the Performance Works Series on June 27.

The Performance Works Series opens June 25 with a show by Snotty Nose Rez Kids, and continues with the likes of Khari Wendell McClelland (June 27) and Tonye Aganaba (June 29) before closing on July 4 with jazz-pop chanteuse Jill Barber.

Local guitar great Bill Coon performs as part of the Pyatt Hall Series on July 1.

The Pyatt Hall Series will see performances by quartets led by saxophonist Cory Weeds (June 25) and guitarist Bill Coon (July 1), while over at Frankie's Jazz Club highlights include pianist Sharon Minemoto (June 25) and the Jen Hodge All Stars (June 29), with blues matriarch Dalannah Gail Bowen closing out the festival on July 4 with a tribute to Billie Holiday.

Jen Hodge leads her All Stars in a show streamed from Frankie's Jazz Club on June 29.
