Tom Jackson hosts Heal the Earth concert on Earth Day
A number of well-known musicians from Canada, the U.S., and Sweden will take part in an online event to celebrate Earth Day and raise funds for Earth Day Canada.
“Heal the Earth is here to lift conscience, mind and spirit to a higher ground,” says producer and host Tom Jackson on the event's website. “This is a moral and musical compass designed to guide you on a road paved with caring and compassion.”
Among the performers on Heal the Earth are Murray McLauchlan, who will be performing "The Farmer's Song", Gowan ("Dancing On My Own Ground"), Alan Frew of Glass Tiger ("This is Your Life"), Tommy James ("Crystal Blue Persuasion"), Andy Kim ("Who Has the Answers"), Spoons ("New Day New World"), and Jackson himself ("Blue Water").
Heal the Earth takes place on Facebook Live on Earth Day (April 22) at 4 pm Pacific time and you can learn more here.
