Whistler's local music scene celebrated with Hear and Now

      If you've been wondering what the local Whistler music scene has been sounding like lately, you can start finding out this Thursday (October 29).

      Arts Whistler is presenting Hear and Now, an online event featuring performances by 17 local bands, showing on Thursdays at 7 pm on its Facebook page and YouTube channel.

      Each episode will feature one Whistler band showcasing its original material and chatting about the songs and their inspiration with various hosts from the local music scene.

      Performers include the Combat Dolphins (Oct. 29), Little Biggs Band (Nov. 5), Northern Ignition (Nov. 12), Bob and Charlie (Nov. 19), Brother Twang (Nov. 26), Marble Canyon (Dec. 3), Poor Dirty Sylvia (Dec. 10), Stephen Vogler & Some Assembly Required (Dec. 17), Little Earthquakes (Jan. 7), Lozen and the Get Down Brothers (Jan. 14), Introduce Wolves (Jan. 21), Cat Madden (Jan. 28), Feral Nifty (Feb. 4), Kostaman and the Good Vibrations (Feb. 11), the Railtown Prophets (Feb. 18), Ev Kinsella & the Campfire Soul (Feb. 26), and Red Chair (March 4).
