Arctic air blast could lead to weekend snow in Metro Vancouver

This morning, Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for the Lower Mainland because of unusually cold temperatures.

It's due to a "surge of Arctic air", which is expected to bring snow and cause temperatures to fall to –10 °C along B.C.'s south coast.

The cold front will remain in mainland valleys and inlets until Sunday (February 18), perhaps bringing even more snow.

Outflow conditions on Sunday could lead to wind warnings.

On that day on parts of the inner south coast, residents might experience the coldest air of this winter.
