Restrictions on lawn watering in Vancouver start next month.

Watering of residential and non-residential lawns will be allowed two days a week beginning May 1.

For residential addresses, even-numbered addresses have 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays; and odd-numbered addresses, 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Thursdays and Sundays.

      For non-residential addresses, even-numbered addresses get 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Mondays; odd-numbered addresses, 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesdays; and all addresses, 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Fridays.

Watering outside of the permitted times will result in a fine of $250 to $1,000.
