Vancouver police arrest 48-year-old man in city's seventh homicide

      An early-morning altercation on the East Side led to the death of a 55-year-old Vancouver resident.

      Dam Minh Huu didn't survive after being rushed to hospital by ambulance from near the corner of Kingsway and Nanaimo Street.

      Police have arrested a 48-year-old man, whose name has not been released.

      It's the seventh homicide of the year in Vancouver.

      "The evidence suggests that the two men, who knew each other, got into an argument on the street a few blocks from where Mr. Huu was located," Vancouver police stated in a news release. "The argument escalated resulting in the death of Mr. Huu."

      Anyone with information or who witnessed the altercation is being asked to contact Vancouver police.
