Update (May 16): The Vancouver Police Department announced that Peter Fung, who was reported missing on May 15, was located.

An 86-year-old man has gone missing in Vancouver and police announced on May 15 that they are seeking help in locating him.

Peter Fung was last seen at a bank close to his home, which is located near West 68th Avenue and Granville Street, at noon on May 14.

A friend of his has been unable to contact him since last speaking with him around 8 a.m. on May 13.

Although the two were scheduled to take a plane flight together from Vancouver International Airport on May 14, Fung did not show up for the departure.

Family and friends contacted police, as they have been concerned about his recent decline in health and lack of contact. In a news release, the Vancouver Police Department stated that he appeared to be fine in security footage they obtained of him but they still want to confirm his well-being and current whereabouts.

Fung is described as an Asian man who is five-feet, two-inches tall with an average build; has grey hair and is balding; and has brown eyes and wears glasses.

Anyone who sees him or knows of his location is asked to call police.
