Police seek information about murdered man found on dirt road in south Richmond

      Richmond investigators are asking for the public's assistance in the case of a man found dead on a Richmond road.

      At 11:15 p.m. on May 17, Richmond RCMP received a call from an individual who had discovered a body located upon the 16600 block of Dyke Road, in an area near the north end of the Massey Tunnel, in Richmond. Upon investigation, police found a deceased man lying on a dirt road.

      As the death was regarded as suspicious, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is covering the case, and is working with Integrated Forensic Identification Services, the B.C. Coroners Service, and Richmond RCMP.

      On May 18, IHIT identified the victim as 42-year-old Gregory Joseph Scuby from Richmond. Investigators also confirmed that Scuby was murdered and he is known to police.
