Jim Carrey cartoons zero in on Trump administration's cruelty to immigrant children

Jim Carrey is best known as the demented, rubber-face comic actor in movies like Dumb and Dumber, Bruce Almighty, and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.

But on his Twitter feed, he's demonstrating that he's also a devastating political cartoonist.

The Canadian-born Carrey's latest features Frederick Trump Sr., the father of Donald Trump.

It carries the hashtag #bewaretheunloved, suggesting that the president's personality has been shaped by his father's cruelty.

Fred Trump Sr., a real-estate developer, was arrested at a Ku Klux Klan event in Queens in 1927, though some reports have suggested that he was an innocent bystander.

Vice, however, reported in 2016 that all of those who were arrested in that day were "berobed marchers", according to the Long Island Daily Press. If the Long Island paper's report is true, then Fred Trump would have indeed been part of the Klan.

Below, you can see some of Carrey's other political cartoons.
