The final big cycling race as part of B.C. Superweek takes place today in Port Coquitlam.

The Poco Grand Prix comes as Boulder, Colorado, resident Eric Young has demonstrated his dominance over the circuit this year.

Yesterday (July 12), the Rally Cycling team member won the Giro di Burnaby. It came just one day after he captured his third straight men's event at the Global Relay Gastown Grand Prix.

Young also came first in the Tour de Delta Ladner Criterium and the Tour de Delta North Delta Criterium this year.

Last year's second-place finisher in Poco, Florenz Knauer, is coming off a July 11 win in the New West Grand Prix. It was the Tsawwassen resident's second consecutive victory in New West.

The first-place finisher of the women's race in Gastown, Tibco-Silicon Valley Bank team member Kendall Ryan, has won three other B.C. Superweek races.

In Burnaby, however, it was Rally Cycling's Summer Moak who crossed the finish line first.

B.C. Superweek offers more than $140,000 in prize money in nine professional races over 10 days.

It will wrap up this weekend with the Tour de White Rock.
