Four members of the Russian band Pussy Riot spent the night inside a police station.

This came after they stormed the field during the World Cup final dressed as police officers.

In a Facebook post, the band stated that in detention, there were no opportunities to sleep, eat, or have a shower.

The band also claimed that the activists will be in court today but have not been told where and when this will occur.

The Pussy Riot Facebook page maintained that lawyer Nikalay Vasilyev was not allowed to see or speak to those who were arrested. According to the band, this is against the law.

The video below was posted on YouTube. It's entitled "Policeman enters the Game".

Those who've been arrested have been charged with two misdemeanours, according to Pussy Riot, which can result in up to 15 days behind bars.

"At least two sources in the police reported to the Russian press (RBC) that the officials initiated a legal procedure of checking whether the criminal case can be opened or not," the band stated.

Pussy Riot has five demands in connection with its action at the World Cup final:

      1. Free all political prisoners, including Ukrainian filmmaker Oleg Sentsov, who was sentenced to 20 years in jail after being accused of terrorism in connection with Russia's annexation of Crimea.

      2. Stop imprisoning people for "likes".

      3. Stop illegal arrests of those participating in rallies.

      4. Allow "political competition" in Russia.

      5. Stop fabricating criminal accusations and keeping people in jail for no reason.
