The New York Times has just prepared a short video showing various tactics that Vladimir Putin is using to advance Russia's interests on the global stage.

It's called "How Russia Is Disrupting the World Order".

And it details some of the methods employed by Putin, including cyberattacks, "little green men", and "frozen conflicts" to thwart nations that get in his way.

The overall goal is to weaken western alliances to enable Russia to expand its influence.

Judging from the behaviour of U.S. president Donald Trump at the recent NATO and after the recent G7 summits, Putin appears to be having considerable success.
