The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) issued a public alert on July 20 about a high-risk sex offender who is living at a Vancouver correctional halfway house.

According to the VPD, Tristan Vickers is a 25-year-old man who poses "a risk of significant harm to the safety of the general public".

He is serving a 10-year longterm supervision order for breaking and entering, committing an indictable offence, and sexual assault causing bodily harm.

He is described as an Indigenous male who is five-feet, 10-inches tall and weighs 172 pounds. He has short brown  hair and blue eyes, and usually wears prescription glasses.

His longterm supervision order includes the following conditions:

• he cannot enter any private residences without prior written permission from his supervising parole officer;
• his curfew runs from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., except for work-related reasons and with his supervisor’s written agreement;
• he must report all intimate sexual and non-sexual relationships and friendships with females to his supervisor;
• he cannot associate with any person known to or have reason to believe is involved in criminal activity;
• he cannot consume, purchase, or possess drugs (other than prescribed medication taken as prescribed and over-the-counter drugs taken according to manufacturer instructions);
• he cannot to purchase, consume, or possess alcohol.

Anyone who witnesses Vickers violating any of these conditions is asked to call 911 immediately.
