A man who died in hospital on August 6 after a stabbing incident at a Surrey townhouse complex has been identified as 20-year-old Leonardo Ngo.

Ngo was found on the property at 152 Street and 108 Avenue along with another man who was sent to hospital in stable condition.

Police believe that both men were linked to the same incident.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is seeking the public's help in locating a 2017 black Jeep Cherokee with B.C. licence plates GH9 59X.

Investigators say the vehicle is "linked" to Ngo, who was known to police.

“In releasing Mr. Ngo’s name, we are hoping that those who knew him will come forward and assist IHIT in determining his activities around the time of his death,” Cpl. Frank Jang said in an IHIT news release.

On August 10, IHIT revealed that the black Jeep Cherokee was located. It had been set on fire in the 9000 block of Ashgrove Crescent in Burnaby.
