There will be even longer than usual lineups at the province's two busiest ferry terminals today.

That's because B.C. Ferries has cancelled two round-trip sailings of the Spirit of Vancouver Island this morning.

It didn't make the 7 a.m. trip from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen.

It also won't make the return trip at 9 a.m., and two other trips at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

According to the B.C. government-owned corporation, it's due to an incident with a rescue boat.

The 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. departures from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay are full.
