Male driver dies in single-vehicle crash on Highway 17 in Delta

      Delta Police announced on September 21 that a driver died in an accident on Highway 17.

      Around 6 p.m. on September 20, a Ford F150 crashed into a median divider at the Highway 17A exit northbound from Highway 17 eastbound.

      Delta Police and the Delta Fire Department attended the scene, and the jaws-of-life had to be used to remove the driver from the vehicle. The driver died at the scene. He was in his 50s and his name has not yet been released.

      No other vehicles were involved in the collision.

      The cause of the accident has not yet been determined and the investigation remains ongoing.
