Female teen stabbed in dispute between youths in Surrey park

      An altercation between a group of youths at a park in Surrey has resulted in one female being hospitalized.

      Around 6:20 p.m. on September 22, several youths got into a conflict at Unwin Park, located in the 13313 block of 68th Avenue in Surrey.

      A 16-year-old female was stabbed and was taken to hospital where she remains in stable, non-life-threatening condition.

      According to Surrey RCMP, the incident appears to be targeted and the individuals involved are known to each other.

      A 17-year-old female has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

      Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, as the individuals involved are under the age of 18, no further information is being provided by the RCMP.
