RCMP release sketch of male suspect who exposed himself at UBC residence

      RCMP are searching for a male voyeur who was allegedly invovled in an incident that took place at a women's only space at the University of British Columbia residence earlier this month.

      Shortly after 9:45 p.m. on September 13, University RCMP received a call about an incident at a residence in the Lower Mall at UBC.

      As a woman who was showering in a women's only area, she heard a man speaking to her from another stall. A second woman who entered the washroom saw the man, who was allegedly naked and masturbating.

      After he dressed himself, several bystanders spoke to the man, who then fled on foot.

      An extensive search failed to locate the suspect.

      A composite sketch of the suspect was released today (September 24).

      He is described as either South Asian or Middle Eastern with a darker skin tone. He is about 1.7 metres (five-feet, seven-inches to five-feet, eight inches) tall with an average build.

      He has curly hair that is darker on the sides and lighter on top. He appeared to be about 30 to 40 years old.

      He was seen wearing a light-coloured hoodie or long-sleeved shirt with grey sweatpants and a small diamond or crystal earring.
