While customers are increasingly becoming spoiled by being able to tailor their orders to their specifications, one man took it way too far.

Police are searching for a man who blew his fuse at a Tim Hortons in New Westminster—all because he claimed his Iced Capp order wasn't quite right. Allegedly.

Around 7:20 p.m. on September 6, the New Westminster Police Department (NWPD) responded to a report of an assault in progress at a Tim Hortons shop in the 800 block of Carnarvon Street.

By the time officers arrived, the suspect had fled.

Tim Hortons staff said a male customer had ordered an Iced Capp but when he received it, he complained that the order was wrong. He then insulted staff and poured the beverage on the counter.

After continuing to verbally abuse the staff and pacing back and forth, he shoved the register off the counter and stormed out of the store.

He had also allegedly kicked and punched another customer in the store who had tried to intervene and stop the verbal abuse.

The suspect, who is wanted for assault and mischief, is described as a Caucasian male who is about 20 to 25 years old with a medium build. He is about 168 centimetres (five-feet, six-inches) tall with short brown hair, and was wearing a pink t-shirt and black pants.

The NWPD also released surveillance footage that captured the incident.

Anyone with information about this suspect or incident is asked to call the NWPD at 604-525-5411.
