The day after the NPA released its list of donors, an independent mayoral candidate has done the same.

Shauna Sylvester has revealed on her website that she's raised $101,737 in her quest to succeed Gregor Robertson in the October 20 election.

There are some well-known names on the list, including Vancouver Quadra Liberal MP Joyce Murray, who contributed $250.

Another sitting politician who gave money is park board chair Stuart Mackinnon, who's seeking reelection with the Greens. He donated $100.

Former NPA councillors Peter Ladner and Gordon Price contributed $1,200 and $580, respectively. Ladner now chairs the David Suzuki Foundation board of directors and Price has had a long association with SFU after leaving politics in 2002.

Among the other contributors are former Ridge Theatre owner Leonard Schein, who's chair and president of Ecojustice's board of directors. He gave Sylvester's campaign $1,200.

Former Vancity CEO Dave Mowat, Sustainability Ventures president David Van Seters, author and nonprofit fundraising consultant Harvey McKinnon, philanthropist and money manager Rudy North, educator and international peace advocate Jennifer Simons, and mining executive Robert Quartermain all contributed $1,200.

There are also some NDP connections to her donor list. Another $1,200 contribution came from NDP activist Stepan Vdovine, who's also the former executive director of Vision Vancouver. Poet Renée Sarojini Saklikar—wife of Health Minister Adrian Dix—contributed $175. Former NDP candidate Helesia Luke kicked in $150.

Luke formerly worked for Kennedy Stewart when he was an NDP MP but hasn't donated to his campaign. Luke also worked alongside Sylvester in the nonprofit sector several years ago.

Metro Vancouver's former lead planner, Christina DeMarco, gave $100 to Sylvester's campaign.

According to Stewart's most recent disclosure, he's raised $192,253.39 so far.

The NPA's disclosure list did not include a grand total or contributors' first names.

Just in the maximum donations of $1,200, it has raised $555,600. The NPA's total amount is more than 10 times what Sylvester has generated from her contributors and dwarfs what Stewart has attracted.
