After an officer observed an alleged driving offence, police arrested a man who was found possessing several illegal drugs.

Around 12:45 p.m. on October 12, a Crime Reduction Unit officer spotted a suspicious vehicle travelling on Riverside Road in Chilliwack.

RCMP located the vehicle when it parked at Hamilton Street and Lewis Avenue. Officers took a suspect into custody in the 45000-block of Lewis Avenue.

Police also seized unspecified amounts of cash and drugs, believed to be fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine, from the individual.

The suspect was identified as 41-year-old Jeff Brian Aubie of Chilliwack. He has been charged with three counts of possessing a controlled drug or substance for the purpose of trafficking.

He has been released from custody pending a court date this month.
