Man on mobility scooter injured in collision with vehicle in Surrey

      Around 3:30 p.m. on October 17, Surrey RCMP responded to a report about a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at the intersection of 140th Street and Green Timbers Way.

      A 59-year-old male on a mobility scooter had been crossing 140th Street when the vehicle collided into him.

      The vehicle driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.

      The pedestrian was taken to hospital in serious condition.

      Investigators have ruled out alcohol, drugs, and speed as contributing factors. As the investigation is ongoing, no further details are being released.
