Julia Louis-Dreyfus calls on Donald Trump to unequivocally denounce fascism, neo-Nazism, and white nationalism

One of America's most popular TV stars has appeared in a stark Twitter video warning of the dangers of the Donald Trump presidency.

It comes just three days before the U.S. midterm elections on Tuesday (November 6).

Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus begins by pointing out that Trump is president of all citizens of the United States.

"You must not inflame the hatred of some at the violent expense of others," Louis-Dreyfuss emphatically states. "We've seen Jews subjected to persecution, prejudice, and mass murder for thousands of years."

Two Holocaust survivors, Marta Lightner and Tova Rotlevy-Cohen, then appear to share their experiences. They suggest that what they endured could happen again.

Next, Louis-Dreyfus describes how "we were all horrified by the despicable slaughter of 11 Jewish congregants" at a Pittsburgh synagogue.

After imagery juxtaposing Nazi Germany with footage from a Charlottesville white supremacists' rally video, Trump appears, saying there were "very fine people on both sides".

That's when Louis-Dreyfuss drives home her central point.

"In memory of the 11 people who lost their lives at their place of worship, we call on the president to unequivocally denounce fascism, neo-Nazism, and white nationalism."

The video closes with Louis-Dreyfus saying: "Vote for unity. Vote for decency. Vote."

This has been by far her most sober message of the campaign.

But she's also been issuing lighter videos over her Twitter feed to encourage people to vote.

It's part of the "Multiply Your Vote" campaign, and you can see some of them below.
