Vancouver police arrest federal offender wanted on Canada-wide warrant in Kitsilano

      A federal offender who disappeared from a Vancouver halfway house on Friday has been arrested by police.

      Tyler Gagnon had been last seen on November 16 before 7 p.m. before failing to return to his halfway house.

      On November 17, the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) announced that a Canada-wide warrant was issued for the 34-year-old Gagnon, who was on parole for a five-year and nine-month sentence for robbery, assault, breaking and entering, possession of stolen property, mischief, motor vehicle theft, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

      Prior to 4 p.m. on November 18, the VPD announced that Gagnon was apprehended near West 4th Avenue and Vine Street in Kitsilano.
