Vancouver police are releasing few details about a violent incident that sent a man to hospital.

There was a report of shots fired just after 5 p.m. near East 53rd Avenue and Prince Edward Street.

Police found a man in his 30s with gunshot wounds.

He was rushed to hospital. It's not known what condition he's in.

No names have been released.
