Homicide team called to investigate shooting in North Vancouver

      Police have released no names following a Christmas night shooting death on the North Shore.

      The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is overseeing the case.

      The incident occurred at an apartment building at 680 Seylynn Crescent.

      It's a relatively short street that extends east from Mountain Highway and north from Fern Street not far from the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Crossing.

      The Vancouver Sun has reported that one person was dead at the scene and a second shooting victim was taken to hospital.

      A Pacific Newspaper Group photographer captured an image of a bullet-ridden black Range Rover being towed away from the scene.

      Update

      The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has identified the murder victim as 25-year-old Rock Habib-Joumaa. He did not have a criminal record. Police believe the killing was targeted.
