Missing man wanted on outstanding warrants may be in Metro Vancouver shelters or Mission

      A man whose family has reported him missing is also wanted on several outstanding warrants.

      The New Westminster Police Department (NWPD) is seeking to locate 41-year-old Alvin Hedlund is wanted for breaking-and-entering, possession of a break-in instrument, mischief, and several counts of theft.

      The Hedlund family reported him to the police as missing, and he was last seen on November 18 in the uptown New Westminster area. Although his family does not see him on a regular basis, he has not replied to any of their messages on social media.

      He is described as a white male who is 196 centimetres (six-feet, five-inches) tall with short blond hair and blue eyes. He has no fixed address.

      “He is believed to be evading police detection because of his warrants, and may be staying in shelters throughout Metro Vancouver, or with friends in Mission,” NWPD Sgt. Jeff Scott stated in a news release.

      Anyone with information about Hedlund's whereabouts is asked to call the NWPD at 604-525-5411.
