RCMP warn of voyeur on UBC Point Grey campus
The Mounties are on the lookout for a sex offender with a cellphone.
A victim says that the device was placed on top of a bathroom stall on UBC's Point Grey campus just before 10 p.m. on January 3.
It occurred while the person was using a public washroom in the 6300 block of Agronomy Road.
The phone had a black case with a cubed and striped pattern.
Police detained a man who's believed to be a suspect, but he's been released as the investigation continues.
In this instance, the victim called campus security, who later called police.
The RCMP have urged the public to call 9-1-1 if a crime is being committed.
