Updated: missing 18-year-old female from North Vancouver located, 21-year-old female from Langley missing

      Update (March 7): North Vancouver RCMP announced that Lynet Bernales has been located and is safe. 

      While New Westminster police are searching for a missing 14-year-old high-risk male, two RCMP detachments in the Lower Mainland are each searching for women in separate missing-person cases.

      North Vancouver RCMP are attempting to locate 18-year-old Lynet Bernales, who was last seen on February 27.

      Bernales is described as a white female who is 163 centimetres (five-feet, four-inches) tall and weighs 49 kilograms (100 pounds).

      She has brown eyes and shoulder-length, dark brown hair that she often wears tied up. She was last seen wearing burgundy pants or tights, a black hoodie, and white Adidas-style shoes with white soles.

      Bernales has been known to visit Vancouver’s Chinatown area and she may have returned there over the past two or three days.

      Anyone who knows of her whereabouts is asked to call their local police or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

      Meanwhile in a separate missing-person case, Langley RCMP is seeking to locate a 21-year-old female from Langley.

      Teya McFarlen was last seen on February 28. She last used an ATM in Vancouver on March 1.

      She is a white female with blue eyes and long blond hair who is 173 centimetres (five-feet, eight-inches) tall with a slim build.

      She was last seen wearing a black jacket with fur trim on the hood and black pants.

      Anyone with information about her is asked to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
