Shooting near Surrey park: one man arrested, two suspects sought

      A man who was shot yesterday in the vicinity of a Surrey park has been taken into custody while police search for two male suspects.

      Around 2:30 p. m. on March 17, RCMP responded to reports of a man being shot in the area of 142A Street and 108 Avenue near Hawthorne Rotary Park in Surrey.

      Officers found the man suffering from a gunshot wound. After he was taken to hospital and released on the same day, he was arrested on outstanding warrants.

      Investigators believe the shooting occurred during an altercation between two groups of people in the park and the shooting is believed to be targeted.

      Police are searching for two male suspects but the only description available thus far is that they were wearing dark hooded clothing.
