March 26: The New Westminster Police Department announced that Edin Berisha was located and is safe.

A search is on for a male Lower Mainland teenager who hasn't been seen for one week.

Edin Berisha was last seen on March 15 in the Queensborough neighbourhood in New Westminster.

Berisha is described as a South Asian male who is 163 centimetres (five-feet, four-inches) tall with a slim build. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants, and had a black backpack.

He is known to use transit and visits Burnaby and other Metro Vancouver municipalities.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911.
