Collision in South Surrey: three people found dead, 32 Avenue closed during investigation

      Update (March 27): Investigators have identified the victims as a mother and two sons and the deaths are being considered suspicious.

      A fatal collision in Surrey has resulted in the deaths of three individuals.

      Around 10:30 a.m. today (March 26), Surrey RCMP responded to a report about a single-vehicle collision on the 32nd Avenue Diversion under the Highway 99 overpass.

      Upon arriving at the scene, officers found all three of the vehicle’s occupants dead.

      As the investigation is in its early stages, the cause of the collision remains unknown.

      Due to investigators examining the area, the following road areas have been closed:

      • 32nd Avenue at 152nd Street
      • 32nd Avenue at King George Boulevard
      • Highway 99 southbound Exit 8B

      The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is also working in partnership with Surrey RCMP on the investigation. According to an IHIT news release, "an additional scene of interest has also been identified" but no further details are being released at this point.

      This fatal collision follows one day after a fatal vehicle collision took place in Coquitlam. Today (March 26), Coquitlam RCMP revealed further details about the collision, which left one boy injured while one female teenager had died.
