Vandal smashes windows of 18 vehicles in one night in North Vancouver

A series of car windows were broken in North Vancouver over a nine-and-a-half-hour period earlier this month—without any discernible financial motive.

Between 11 p.m. on March 9 and 8:30 a.m. on March 10, someone or several people broke the front passenger windows of 18 vehicles.

All of the cars were parked on streets in an area within St. Georges Avenue and Forbes Avenue between 2nd Street and 5th Street.

North Vancouver RCMP spokeperson Sgt. Peter DeVries stated in a news release that the suspect or suspects didn’t steal anything and didn’t even enter the cars.

“If wanting to ruin 18 people’s day for no reason could be a motive, this is a pretty good match,” Sgt. DeVries said.

Anyone who was a victim or has information about this incident is asked to contact North Vancouver RCMP.
