For many years, Allison Mack enjoyed a successful acting career, winning two Teen Choice Awards playing Chloe Sullivan on Smallville.

The show was mostly filmed in the Vancouver area, with Mack playing the role of Superman's friend.

But today, she broke down in tears as she pleaded guity in a New York courtroom to racketeering.

It was in connection with recruiting women to become sex slaves for NXIVM cofounder Keith Raniere, who faces charges of sex trafficking and forced labour.

Unlike Mack, he's pleaded not guilty.

Allison Mack appeared in this video for Jness, which was a subsidiary of NXIVM.

NXIVM is a now-defunct New York–based multilevel marketing company; its cofounder. Nancy Salzman, has already pleaded guilty to racketeering.

NXIVM allegedly branded female members in the pelvic area with Raniere's initials.
