Lower Mainland RCMP have released images of suspects in two separate robberies that took place in Metro Vancouver in attempts to identify them.

Surrey RCMP announced on April 17 that they are searching for a male suspect after a gas station robbery took place last month.

Around 1:30 a.m. on February 28, a male who entered a gas station in the 10400 block of King George Boulevard made a demand for an employee to open a cash register. Then the suspect sprayed bear spray upon the employee before he fled without any money.

Officers were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male who is about 170 centimetres (five-feet, seven-inches) tall with a slim build and short dark hair. He had been wearing, at the time of the robbery, a black jacket with fur trim on the hood, a grey hoodie beneath the jacket, black pants, and dark-coloured shoes (as pictured in the surveillance photos released by RCMP above).

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Surrey RCMP or, to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers.

Burnaby RCMP released this video of a robbery suspect who entered a Burnaby bank on September 17, 2018.

Meanwhile, Burnaby RCMP also announced on April 17 that they are seeking the public’s help in identifying a male suspect related to a bank robbery that transpired in Burnaby last year.

Shortly after 9 a.m. on September 17, 2018, a suspect entered a bank in the 3700 block of Canada Way in Burnaby.

He was holding a blue umbrella over his head while approaching tellers. He left with a small amount of cash.

He is described as a white male who is 183 centimetres (six-feet) tall with a heavy build.

At the time, he was wearing grey sunglasses with yellow tinted glass, a blue bomber jacket, dark pants, and a large blue umbrella.

RCMP released the above surveillance footage of the suspect entering the bank.

In the video, he also appears to be wearing a baseball cap with orange colouring on the front portion of it, with either his jacket or something else covering the bottom portion of his face, while carrying a black handbag with words or a logo on it.

Burnaby RCMP Cpl. Daniela Panesar stated in a news release that they are hoping someone took notice of the suspect using an umbrella on a sunny day.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Burnaby RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
