Missing Vancouver Island man en route to Victoria also wanted to reach Port Coquitlam

      Police are searching for a Vancouver Island man who may have been on his way to Metro Vancouver.

      North Cowichan–Duncan RCMP are seeking help in locating 56-year-old David Craig Johnson, who is a resident of Duncan, B.C.

      He was last seen on April 9 at a bus station in Duncan on Vancouver Island. He had purchased a bus ticket to travel to Victoria on that date.

      According to RCMP, he had also expressed interest in travelling to Port Coquitlam.

      He is described as a white male who is 183 centimetres (six-feet) tall with a slender build, long auburn-coloured hair, and blue eyes.

      Anyone who has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact North Cowichan–Duncan RCMP at 250-748-5522 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

      Meanwhile on April 21, North Cowichan–Duncan RCMP located the body of a 47-year-old man from Duncan below a lookout on a Cowichan Valley trail.

      His identity has not been released but foul play is not suspected and the B.C. Coroners Service is conducting an investigation.
