Dockless bikes. Electric scooters. These gizmos could be the next big thing in urban transportation.

In many cities around the world, residents access these micromobility gadgets through sharing apps.

Last year, Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, and Richmond partnered with U-bicycle to allow for bicycle rentals without the docking stations that exist in Vancouver's program.

Is the rest of Metro Vancouver ready for the ride?

A forum called “The Future of Mobility: How can micromobility support a livable region?” may provide some answers.

The Vancouver event will be held Thursday (April 25) at UBC Robson Square (800 Robson Street), starting at 6:30 p.m.
