Montreal police are expanding their search across Canada for a male suspect who may be in the Greater Vancouver area.

Quebec’s joint investigation unit L’Équipe intégrée de lutte contre le proxénétisme, which addresses human trafficking for sexual exploitation, is seeking to locate 28-year-old Louis Edcar Augustin, who is wanted on a nation-wide warrant.

He faces charges of assault, receiving material benefit from sexual services, and advertising sexual services and procurement.

Augustin is 1.85 metres (six-feet, one-inch) tall and weighs 85 kilograms (190 pounds). He has black hair and brown eyes, and he speaks French and Creole.

While Montreal police previously stated on November 19, 2018, that he may be in the Greater Montreal area or in Ontario, B.C. RCMP stated today (April 25) that he may be in Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, or Toronto, in addition to Vancouver.

B.C. RCMP also stated that he may use the aliases David Desrosiers, Denis Louis, Youngp Besifra, Pizzle, Pezol, or other false identification.

Anyone who sees him is asked not to intervene as he is considered violent and instead contact 911 immediately.

Any information leading to his arrest given to Info-Crime Montréal at 514-393-1133 will  receive a reward of up to $2,000.
